ALL INDIA MEET
It gives us immense pleasure to share that we represented EWB-SVCE in Engineers Without Borders All India meet at GITAM Deemed University, Hyderabad. Teams representing several EWB student chapters from all across India attended the AIM and presented their projects.
We are super proud to announce that our team has won the first prize in the Sustainable Development Goals Track 2 event by presenting a paper on carbon footprint accounting, which dealt with clean water, air and sanitation related projects. Several notable dignitaries graced the event and shared valuable thoughts about technology and innovation. We had an incredible opportunity to be among talented individuals from all over the country. |
ISRO VISIT
The EWB (Engineers Without Borders) Club of SVCE had the incredible opportunity to witness the historic launch of Aditya-L1 at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) on 2nd of September 2023! Aditya-L1, aims to unravel the mysteries of our Sun and its impact on Earth. It's set to explore the Sun's outermost layer, the corona, and will provide crucial insights into solar activities and space weather. As the countdown began, excitement filled the air. We watched in amazement as the rocket, carrying Aditya-L1, gracefully soared into the heavens, marking a significant milestone in India's space exploration journey. This experience has inspired us to aim even higher in our engineering pursuits. |
IITM - TEL AVIV UNIVERSITY - EWB COLLABORATIVE PROJECT
The EWB (Engineers Without Borders) Club of SVCE recently embarked on an enlightening field visit to Ennore, a remarkable journey organized in collaboration with the prestigious IIT Madras. This field visit was a joint effort between IIT madras and academic personnel from Israel . This inspiring collaboration transcends borders and showcases the power of international partnerships in addressing critical environmental issues. Our mission is to delve deep into the world of water purification techniques and gather insights that will help us implement sustainable solutions. We had the privilege to tour the village, engage with experts, and understand the intricate processes required to ensuring clean and safe drinking water. We were exposed to new cutting edge equipments to test the purity of water. We also had an exciting opportunity to interact with locals to value their opinion regarding the cause of water pollution. Inspired by this enlightening visit, our EWB SVCE club is determined to apply these insights to develop practical and sustainable water purification solutions. We believe that clean water is a fundamental right, and our efforts will contribute to making it accessible to all. Special thanks to Professor Hadas and her team from the Tel Aviv University, Israel, for giving us great insights into the problem statement and teaching us the step-by-step process of water analysis. As we move forward, the EWB SVCE Club remains committed to our mission of engineering solutions for a better world. With Ennore as our source of inspiration, we are poised to make a significant impact in the field of water purification. |
